It offers all the programming, testing, troubleshooting, and management capabilities necessary for a robust PLC programming environment. PLC WorkShop Suite for Siemens 505 includes the following products:

  • PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505
  • FTVersionTrak PE
  • 505 Simulator

PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505

Designed for use with the entire line of CTI 2500 Series and Siemens/TI 505 PLCs, PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505 offers complete support of relay ladder logic, Special Function programs and subroutines, Analog alarms and PID loops, and PowerMath functions. It is the only product on the market to support expanded functionality of the CTI 2500 Series processors, including enhanced execution speed, expanded memory, increased control relays capacity, and new ladder instructions.

New Ladder Instructions

First in a series of enhanced capabilities to the PLC WorkShop Suite line, four ladder instructions are available exclusively through PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505 and CTI 2500 Series processors. These instructions, including Mega EDRUM, Floating Point Compare, On Delay Coil, and Off Delay Coil, upgrade the 505 language within the CTI 2500 Series processors. View a product bulletin and a case study for more information about these powerful instructions.

Profibus Configurator

The Profibus Configurator allows you to plan, configure, and manage entire Profibus networks from within PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505’s easy-to-use interface without having to wrestle with outdated and confusing third-party applications, such as COM Profibus. It may be used to set up bus configuration, assign hardware, address I/O modules, and even monitor and troubleshoot networks, all from the same screen. Unlike COM Profibus – which has not been updated since 2001 – FasTrak is committed to the continued development and improvement of PLC WorkShop for Siemens 505.

FTVersionTrak PE

The FTVersionTrak Programmer Edition (FTVersionTrak PE) allows you to introduce advanced version control practices into your programming environment. With the ability to control who accesses your files, you will always know what changes were made, who made the changes, when they were made, and have the ability to roll back changes.

FTVersionTrak PE secures and safeguards your PLC WorkShop files, ensuring that if a problem occurs with one of your programs, a backup file is readily available. FTVersionTrak PE may also be used to compare differences in logic, configuration, I/O configuration, registers, documentation, and other program components between two versions of a program file. Advanced security and version control is available in the full version of FTVersionTrak, included in PLC WorkShop SuperSuite for Siemens 505.

505 Simulator

Test and debug your PLC programs before going live with the only software of its kind for CTI 2500 Series and Siemens/TI 505 PLCs. 505 Simulator allows you to program, run, and test ladder logic, Special Function programs and subroutines, PID loops, Analog alarms, and simulated I/O in a fraction of the time without requiring expensive hardware. 505 Simulator offers valuable testing features, such as step advancement mode by scan, network, SF instruction, conditional breakpoints, and a complete batch-oriented I/O simulator.
