What is the meaning of “Com Port cannot be initalized” error?

The Com Port cannot be initialized error message may be caused by the following:

  • Check the communication setup to see if you are using the correct COM port.
  • The COM Port you are using is being used by another program.
  • The cable you are using may be incorrect or faulty. Check cable pin-outs and continuity.
